Advocates for Children of New York

“Advocates for Children of New York serves at-risk children experiencing discrimination due to poverty, race, ethnicity, disability, immigrant or ELL status, sexual orientation, gender identity, homelessness, or involvement in the foster care or juvenile justice system”. They provide free legal and advocacy services, including representation at school-related hearings and appeals, and teaching families what they should know to stand up for their children’s educational rights. Their website provides a plethora of resources on policy advocacy, as well as fact sheets on school rights and services. For early education, they provide workshops regarding early intervention, preschool special education, service providers, and more.
