The mission of New Mexico Out of School Time (NMOST) is to “To create, strengthen and sustain a statewide system of support for quality out-of-school time programs. The New Mexico Out-of-School Time Network (NMOST) brings together policymakers, educators, childcare providers, youth development workers, and other stakeholders interested in ensuring positive youth development opportunities and outcomes through out-of-school time programs.” Initiatives from the organization include fighting hunger through OST (https://nmost.org/fighting-hunger-through-ost) and Guiding Principles for Quality OST Programming (https://nmost.org/guiding-principles). Resources include STEM role models in after school, mealsites, educational activities for home and childcare options for families.
