NMAEYC (an affiliate of NAEYC) works “to promote quality care and education for the well-being of ALL young children, birth to eight, through professional development and advocacy.” This includes a strong emphasis on educator competency, partnerships between families and schools, valuing the dignity and diversity of each child, and equity. Resources offered include a list of meal sites, COVID resources (such as supplemental learning resources and testing information) and various guides for parents and children (such as A Guide to Sleeping with Coronavirus ANxiety & Backyard learning activities for nature science, sensory play, and early learning). NMAEYC also offers various professional development opportunities (some virtual, some outdoors in a COVID safe environment).
