We are very grateful for the funds ($500.00) you gave to St Aloysius Secondary Workers Development Association to organize a training to help young children of refugees be ready for school, encourage their imagination, and help them with literacy and numeracy skills. Thanks.

Project Name:

TO ORGANIZE A TRAINING TO HELP YOUNG CHILDREN OF REFUGEES BE READY FOR SCHOOL, ENCOURAGE THEIR IMAGINATION AND HELP THEM WITH LITERACY AND NUMERACY SKILLS IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN KYEGEEGWA DISTRICT, UGANDA.

These topics during the training of primary teachers were covered:

 Material development.

 Integration of learning through play matters.

 Strategies and practices of teaching.

 Teaching methods.

Challenges

Mobilizing the teachers in November was a challenge because it was supposed to be the period for Promotion Examinations and National Examinations in Uganda, but all in all the training took place on November 21-25, 2023.
