The Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles (CCALA) is a partnership of ten agencies that serve communities at the local level. These agencies deliver services to thousands of families and child care providers across Los Angeles County:
- Assists families in finding and identifying quality child care and other supportive services in the community
- Provides subsidized child care vouchers to eligible families through programs such as CalWORKs Stages 1, 2, and 3, Alternative Payment (AP), and the Emergency Child Care Bridge program
- Offers training and other workforce professional development opportunities for child care providers
- Conveys information to families and child care providers on topics such as advocacy, health, nutrition, and other family-strengthening initiatives
CCALA has also engaged in many legislative initiatives, their most recent being the State’s 2020 budget allocation of $5.3 billion to be allocated to child care and development programs.
