Florida Considers Bill That Increases the Number of State Mandated Standardized Tests

The Florida House’s Education Committee advance a bill (HB1193) that would increase the number of state mandated standardized assessments in elementary school from the current seven assessments (3 math, 3 ELA (English language arts), and one science) to 37 assessments (3 math,  3 ELA per year, and one science) from Kindergarten through 5th grade.  All tests will be taken on computers.
