The goal of this bill is to establish a statewide children’s mental health ombudsman for the purposes of advocating on behalf of children with mental health disorders, identifying barriers to effective mental health treatment, “ensuring compliance” with policies and regulations regarding children’s mental health services and receiving, investigating, and resolving through administrative action complaints and issues related to the welfare of children.
