From the National Head Start Association
PLEASE – Tell Congress to Invest in Head Start!
As Congress ramps up its work on Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations, it’s critical that they understand the importance of Head Start and prioritize funding for this life-altering program.
In his recent testimony before the House Labor-HHS Appropriations Subcommittee, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. affirmed his commitment to preserving legacy programs like Head Start. This decades-long investment in children and families has transformed lives and communities across the country—and it must be sustained with the resources programs need to serve the next generation.
We need Congress to hear in a loud, clear, and unified voice that Head Start needs support – to provide a launchpad to success for the more than 750,000 children currently enrolled in Head Start and the tens of thousands more who remain unserved.
PLEASE take two minutes to email your Members of Congress and urge them to support a Head Start in Fiscal Year 2026.
