We remain committed to recognizing diversity as an asset that must be honored and protected. To support early childhood educators, advocates, and families, we will be sharing our favorite diversity resources.

These resources will include children’s books, books for adults, podcasts, lesson plan ideas, and other materials that highlight the importance of diversity in the lives of young children.

Our February Diversity Is Not Divisive Resource is the Little Justice Leaders Facebook page. This organization makes social justice education easy. Their “mission is simple: We want to make it easy for you to build classrooms and schools rooted in social justice.” Their Facebook page has a ton of great resources for Black History Month.

Our January resource is the book Beyond February: Teaching Black History Any Day, Every Day, and All Year Long, K–3 by Dawnavyn James. “Dawnavyn James believes Black history shouldn’t be relegated to the month of February.”

This month’s resource is the Asian American Studies K12 Framework created by Dr. Sohyun An and Dr. Noreen Naseem Rodriguez.

20 Nov: November 2025 Diversity is Not Divisive Resource

This month’s resource is the ECE Indigenous Reconciliation Toolkit. “Designed by Relentless Indigenous Woman Co., this toolkit helps early childhood educators (0–6 years) cultivate empathy, intercultural understanding, and mutual respect in the classroom.”
