This article sheds light on Georgia voters’ values regarding pre-k education; according to the article, ninety-one percent of voters support Georgia’s free, lottery-funded voluntary Pre-K, which is up from 80 percent in 2018. In light of the pandemic, there seems to have been a greater focus among voters for affordable, high quality child-care and supportive family leave policies. At the time of publishing the article, the author notes that sixty-five percent of Georgia voters would be “more likely” to vote for a candidate for political office who supports policies that give families more access to quality child care and preschool.
